This is my Tandy 1100FD laptop I picked up at the local Value Village for $17.99. Everything works perfectly except for the battery, but meh, I can do without it. The only thing I’ve really done with it is clean a bunch of the gunk off of it and hack together a new power cord. I’m hoping to find a use for it in a project in the future (Possibly to program microcontrollers).

Nice find! I’ve got a T1200 laptop. Battery is toast on it, too. I wonder what it’d take to wire up a new battery for it?
I’ve installed Minix on mine, but I have no idea what the root password is anymore. It was tricky getting it on 720k disks! You can put a piece of tape over the corner hole on a floppy to make drives think it’s a 720k disk
