Hey Matt, nice cabinet! I’ve been planning on building one for a few years now, but sadly, there’s no place to keep it in my house.

I want to make one devoted purely to the vertical greats, using a 15″ tube set on it’s side, and a softmodded Xbox, loaded with MAMEoX and a healthy collection of vertical games. Total cost for electronics (minus buttons and joysticks) would be around 200 bucks.

And then I want to make a full-sized one, using what will soon be my old PC (3.33GHz Celeron D, 1 GB DDR2, GeForce 7600 GS w. 512MB DDR2) and a large CRT. That’ll be stocked with almost every game that’ll run in MAMEUI, hopefully. I really want to get a lightgun or two in there as well.

Anyhow, beautiful cab, man, you’ve got me mad jealous!

The vertical games are definitely the best, Galaga, Pac Man, Tetris, Donkey Kong, 1942… the list goes on. Oh and lightguns would be sweeeeet.
